USB cable for Garmin Legend?

I need a USB interface cable for my Legend. Is such a monsterr made? My serial port is taken up?

I am not sure about a straight USB cable that interfaces with Garmin GPS, but I am using my Legend through a Belkin serial to USB adapter. See it here

 

There are tons of solutions like this for both Mac and PC.

You'll need to use an USB to serial port adaptor or add a card for another serial port.

 

I asked Garmin...

"Are there any plans to have an USB interface for the units? More and more laptops do not include serial ports."

That's exactly what I thought, too. To get a USB interface on a GPS will probably mean that there has to be two interfaces, one serial and one USB. USB connectors on small cameras are indeed very small, but not very water resistant.

Check with GPSCITY.com, this is where I got mine. It's an adapter cord that plugs into your USB port and has a serial connector on the other end. I had some driver problems at first, but the people at GPScity shipped me another driver that works with ME. Cost for this cable was about $35.
