+BooBooBee Posted February 19 Posted February 19 A friend of mine talked me into helping build an AL Lab Art project along with 20 of our other friends. I got to thinkin' last night, after most of us have done the work: those smileys never show up on my "found" map. I'd only done a couple of labs, and hadn't thought much of it until we decided to create this image with the finds. Sure enough, now not only don't ALs show up in search nor finds on the website map, apparently they only show up on the app for premium members? Now, I'm a premium member, and I understand the perks-for-members to incentivize subscriptions. However...why not integrate the AL finds as smileys on the .com site? Word is I'll be able to see them in the AL app, but I"m about app'd out. And...it's far more fun to explore maps on a larger screen than the phone's. Anyone else bugged by any of this, or are you fine playing two kind of separate games on kinda separate apps? Quote
+Max and 99 Posted February 19 Posted February 19 (edited) I like that the official geocaching app shows the adventure lab icons and when I click on it it'll take me right to the adventure lab app. I think it is integrated nicely in that respect. I also like that you can filter to include them or not. My AL finds show up on the GC app. Edited February 19 by Max and 99 1 1 Quote

+gimligliders Posted February 27 Posted February 27 I totally agree...I find it frustrating that if I want to know what my, say, last 10 finds are (and I know that some of them are geocaches & some are AL locations, there is no way to see that all in one place. Unless I am wrong, and if I am, someone please let me know. I can't even figure out how to see a simple list of the last few AL locations that I have found. And maybe this makes me sound like a Luddite, but I also wish that the AL website itself worked in a similar fashion as the app. If I'm planning a caching weekend on my PC, it's a pain to be doing it on 2 devices. It would be so nice to have a map function that could be accessed on a PC. 3 Quote
+Delbadore Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I agree that it would be wonderful to see ALs on the maps on geocaching.com, exactly the same way as they show on the geocaching app now. I plan caching trips looking at the map on the website and always need to remember to check on the app for ALs which is a pain. Having a consistent experience with ALs on the geocaching app and the website would make all the difference. Quote

Since ALs were designed separate from the rest of the geocaching platform they are not well integrated with the rest of the game. However, you can view your AL finds separately on the website by going to your profile under geocaches and clicking on Lab cache which will be listed at the bottom of your geocaches found list, right above total found: Quote
