+TEAM 360
I have a Platinum and noticed that when I turn it on, it reads software version 3.12. Is this the norm for the Platinums? I keep hearing about versions above 4. Anyone know for sure? Quote Link to comment

+TEAM 360
COOL!! Being a newbie, I didn't think I could do it, but it was easy, and now I am running version 4.02...THANKS MERIYELLOW!! Quote Link to comment
iweb
I "upgraded" my Platinum to 4.02 and after a few weeks it went weird on me, my heading and bearing would go up and down while standing still and my topo screen would scroll while standing or walking. I finally went back to 3.12 and it works perfect again. Seems like some upgrades work and some don't but if you start having problems like I did you might want to un-upgrade. Quote Link to comment
+embra
It's good to keep the older version around so you can hop back if need be. But if you want the new features you might want to give the 4.06 a try--at least some who had problems with 4.02 have liked it better. I'm using it with no problems (though 4.02 was fine for me, too). Note that Thales has not officially released this version, and it is only for the Gold and Plat.
