+thargos Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Hi everyone, Back in November, I found a note in a cache that seemed related to a trackable. At first, I thought it was the trackable itself, but I later realized that I don’t have the secret tracking number needed to log it properly. Since I’ve always left trackables in place, I wasn’t fully familiar with the process—but I wanted to help, especially since this trackable’s goal was to reach Switzerland, where I live. Unfortunately, I discovered that the actual trackable object was missing. To try and help, I reached out to the trackable owner, the last person who logged it, and the cache owner (for maintenance). I also searched through the trackable’s history to see if I could find a photo of the original item so that I could replace it with a similar one, but I didn’t have any luck. The trackable in question is: 🔗 Trackable TB57ZX2 What would be the best course of action at this point? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! Quote
geoawareUSA9 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 (edited) At this point, I think you've done what you can by reaching out to the trackable owner. They're the only ones who have access to the actual TB code that could get a substitute trackable moving again, but they don't appear to have been active since 2019 (last cache find) or 2020 (last activity on the site). If you don't hear back, I'd say you are free to use or dispose of the item as you see fit. Meanwhile, reviewers have the ability to mark trackables as missing, and since you indicate it is, I have done so. Edited February 2 by geoawareUSA9 1 Quote
