+fuzziebear3 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Amusingly, I have a series of cache hides I call 'Hidden Gems'. They are all at small neighborhood parks (ie, hidden gems), and the containers are cute little gem shaped colored tubs. (Purchased from amazon, they were to hold lip gloss and stuff). 2 Quote
francalkova Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Themed caches are such a fun idea. Frogs, hidden gems, and a throwback to 25 years of geocaching? Love it. Keeps the game fresh and exciting. 2 Quote
+Michaelcycle Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Throwback? Can I place a cache that is only listed on the website, one that requires you to manually load the coordinates into your GPSr? Please? 1 Quote

You can't require people to use a GPSr. I've found hundreds of caches without a GPS device of any kind. Quote

The implication is that IF you use a GPSr you can't download the coordinates directly into the device. You know, like the old days ;-) 1 Quote

You know, like the old days ;-) Has that ever been the case though? Backwhen I started in 2004/5 I had the old Etrex yellow banana, and even then I could send co-ords to it using GPSbabel and a serial cable. 1 Quote
