eTrexer
I have an eTrex Legend, and I was wondering if you could put any games on it like cell phones have.(For when I get bord on a hike) Quote Link to comment
eTrexer
I looked at the Garmin GPS V and it had a game on it, so can we get that game on the eTrex Legends, and Vistas? Quote Link to comment

+apersson850
Isn't geocaching a game in itself? Or maybe somebody will argue that getting a sat lock with an eTrex in dense woods is a real game! Anders Quote Link to comment
+phantom4099
I remeber when I first got my 315 (shortly after SA was lifted) I went on the internet looking for games to up load. Thats when I firt found the geocaching website. Wyatt W. The probability of someone watching you is directly proportional to the stupidity of your actions. Quote Link to comment
+DarrenF
My Legend has one unused icon location on the Accessories screen, just to the right of the Calculator icon, just below the Area Calc icon. Personally, I think the display size/shape/resolution as well as the controls (click-stick) are *perfect* for a Tetris rip-off... ...or a Bubble-Bobble clone. However, I won't be holding my breath for Garmin to do this or for it to show up from a hobbyist. There just aren't enough users to reach the critical mass needed. A lot of work would need to be done to create such elaborate firmware hacks. I think opensource tools already exist to compile C/C++ programs for the ARM CPU (there is a very active hobbyist software development scene for the GameBoy Advance, which also uses an ARM CPU), but I'm not sure if enough of the other information about the hardware is available. Lacking that, I think it would take considerable time reverse-engineering the firmware to learn enough to do much of anything other than edit the graphics & text, or make it crash df Quote Link to comment

+apersson850
Arrgh! They may get Tetris on the Legend! But now that space isn't free on the Vista, since from 2.29 it has the Jump Master icon there. Hey, I can play Tetris on my Ericsson T28 phone! The world is saved. Again. Anders Quote Link to comment
