MapSource won't work with 76S?

Ok, like my fifth questoin of the day, I know, sorry. I'm looking at Garmin's website and for the Mapsource program it says:

 

"Trip and waypoint planning is possible for all other units; however, the map transfer feature is only compatible with the following GARMIN GPS units:" and lists several, including the Map 76, but not its brother the 76S. Does this mean you can't load the maps into the 76s? I'm confused, I thought that was the whole point.

That section of Garmin's website has not been updated to include the new GPSMAP 76S. Have you checked the actual GPSMAP 76S section of Garmin's website here?

"The unit also contains a basemap of North and South America, including major highways, thoroughfares, rivers, lakes, and borders, with plenty of memory (24 MB) for downloading MapSource data."

Mapsource works great with the 76S. The extra memory 24MB allows you to download a lot of maps and routes. We just drove from Tampa, Fl. to Franklin, N.C. and the route worked perfect. Scrapman
