Magellan Meridian Gold

My best friend who is 20years older has come on some bad luck about 5 years ago.... This man grew up on the Tenn river and in 2004 got the Magellan merdian gold hand held gps for christmas from his wife.  How he has not maxed this thing out over the years is still a question I have to ask, but non the less Here about 5 years ago he put it up and the batteries leaked I tried to clean it up and was not able to get it going.  I brought the unit back to kansas so i could work on it some more and still no progress.  I purchased another unit used off ebay to use as soon as I could find someone to transfer the memory chips and what ever to get the waypoints off the old unit.....easier said then done.   fast forward to yesterday I was watching you tube and seen a guy doing what i needed done.  I quickly found the units and said lets just see if I get anything to happen after I put it all back together......omg the dang thing fired up and is working.  Now my question to all of you how do I get the waypoints off the old unit to my pc and or to a sd card so i can get him a newer unit and transfer them over.  I have read that the units will only take up too a 128gb sd card which I have ordered.  I do have the db9 connector for the magellan merdian gold but I downloaded easy GPS and they do not go back that far.  Is there another website That dose?  Any help would be great, Thank you
