Math formulas not displayed correctly in app

Mathematic expressions created using the math tool in the cache description editor on geocaching.com, does not display correctly in the official geocaching app. Instead the raw TeX-expression is shown. The math expression is displayed correctly when using a web browser, but not in the official app.

The math tool in the cache description box, must in my opinion be classified as an official tool. If official tools are used, they should also work correctly in geocaching.com apps. Otherwise the risk is they will not be adapted by users. The math looks much better using this tool, but it would be good if also app users could see it.

In my opinion, the cache owner should never have included a complex math rendering using JavaScript libraries suited for full web browsers and expect the same rendering to occur on limited simpler web views in phone apps. To replicate all the functionality possible in a browser in an app just bloats any apps trying to match it for edge case cache descriptions. I wouldn't blame Groundspeak for not supporting something so rare.

The cache owner only used tools Groundspeak themselves have available on their own website, assuming it would work in their own app, and unaware of it being JavaScript. Mathematical formulas are used all the time for geocaches, but usually not as pretty as with the math tool. Might be switching to an image (with an alternative non pretty text formula) in the future, if it is not supposed to work everywhere.
