Collecting Treasures

Am I right in thinking that all the caches for the Planets collection have to be regular or large ? (yea ignore the webcam - we know that aint happening)
If so, 8 is a tall order

Yes!  A tough challenge.  After caching for 20 years, and with over 11,000 finds, I've found most of the regular/large caches nearby.  At least the ones I'm capable of finding.  I don't crawl in caves, nor climb trees.  Ah!  There's one an hour's drive away.  1 of 8.  Hmm...

I know this is really minor and certainly not a priority,  but didn't it used to say

Collections/Your Treasures, not Your Treasure on the app? Did you run out of room?

Very different caching environments I guess. So far this year out of my 146 finds, there were 28 regular and 5 large caches, most of which didn't involve caves or trees. I've also had three regular-sized caches published this year, but one does involve crawling a short way into a cave/rock tunnel:

The other two are a 2/2.5 multi about 100 metres from the road and a 2/4 mystery at the end of either a ridiculously long or ridiculously steep hike (both starting from parking waypoints a ridiculously long drive from any civilisation), but hopefully the themed container and scenic view at GZ make up for that.

Looking at the qualifying caches map for the South of England there are plenty  but they're fairly widely spread, so this is probably the first set that I wouldn't get just by my normal activity and I'll have to decide whether I can be bothered to make special trips to collect them.

For me I would prefer to have different criteria for each  the 8 treasures, rather than having them all the same.

It's just like a Challenge. You don't have to undertake the challenge to find Treasures, but if you do decide  to pursue it, it'll take a bit of planning, and probably some travelling. It raises the bar from ordinary day-to-day geocaching. I'm enjoying it. Travelling is definitely involved as there's no suitable geocaches within an hour's drive - and it's Winter here in the Southern hemisphere.

Cheers. Good fun to be had

Caches I found on 6/10 we’re logged on 6/11 with a 6/10 date, but I didn’t collect any treasures

Strange. From what I can see, you should have collected 4 of the "Event mementos" Treasures. I took a look at the last one, and the timestamp seems fine to be counted (timestamped June 11 at 02:25 UTC) when the start time for the collection was June 10 at 12:00 UTC. Maybe @Moun10Bike can add this to the list of glitches to investigate.

The dev primarily responsible for tracking down why a particular Treasure was not awarded is currently out on vacation, so it will take some time to determine what happened here.

That depends on where you are. Around here, the regulars outnumber the micros and there are plenty of qualifying caches available. The catch, though, is that Navigation Tools is a prerequisit for this collection and its qualifiers are scarce here.

Yea, completely the opposite for me here in the UK - we mostly have micros - and if any say regular they are probably small
Only 17 fit the bill in a 20 mile radius from me and all in different directions and mainly towards the edge of that 20 mile border.
However I went to pick up 4 yesterday - little bit of a road trip but it was a nice day - However only 1 found, the other 3 missing and inactive COs so maintenance unlikely

Well, I guess it's time to buy that painter's pole I've been putting off and try for some fishing caches.

Maybe I should kill two stones with the one bird and put out a new D3 tree-fishing cache to get the IGD hider souvenir and give the community a qualifying find for the treasure.

I have a couple out of town trips coming up within the time frame... now to get organized enough to add caches to a list. It would be good to make some finds while out of town. Not many options where I am.

What do they have against large caches? I feel like those make the best memories :D...

They did large last time. I think they're just trying to vary the requirements.
