+wrighties83 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I picked up a lovely wooden geocoin from a cache in Prague thinking that I would log it later, but although there is a name on it, there is no tracking code. Could the name on the coin be the cacher's name & the coin is not in fact a trackable? Quote

I love collecting wooden nickels! Quote
+wrighties83 Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 Found the user through the old logs on the cache where we found it. I’ve messaged to see what they would like me to do with it. It makes a nice souvenir though ! 😁 25 minutes ago, Max and 99 said: Yes indeed, it could. Have you tried looking up the geocacher's name and asking them? I love collecting wooden nickels! Quote

Right, Wooden Coins are just collectable give-aways by owners or event-organizations. Btw: The Czech Republic is the country where Wooden Coins were first developed and released. +Wanderschuler Posted January 17 Posted January 17 With no tracking code, it sounds like a cacher's pathtag or an event souvenir. Sometimes they do resemble trackables at first! Happy caching. Quote
