+DadONine
Okay. I've got a Magellan 315, with a cable to connect it to COM1 on my laptop. A cable is on the way to connect it to my Palm m505. I have the Rand McNally software for my Palm, and EasyGPS on the laptop. What other stuff do I need to complete my dream setup? Ultimate software? Additional hardware? Help me out here. The sky's the limit. Let's have some fun with this. DadONine Quote Link to comment

I was thinking of getting them all microchipped. Besides, if they all have Rhinos, then THEY can find ME! DadONine Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
You need some kind of Topo software unless your cache rig can't leave asphalt without scraping bottom. If the Rand McNally doesn't do pushpin files so you can see the caches you should get Streets and Trips. Then you will need GPSBable or another program that does the same thing to have them all talk to each other. Next apply for your concealed weapons permit and get a little something for those embarassing moments on the trail. Don't forget a cool walking stick, a hydro pack and all that other backpack stuff. It's as important as the eletronic gizmo's. Quote Link to comment
OuttaHand
As far as I'm concerned, no geocache hunt is complete without a digital camera. Gotta have it!!! Quote Link to comment

My wish list grows (already got the 2m/70cm.... and license: KB9ZHN). Climbing rope though? And 500 feet?! This begs the question: Has anyone ever actually needed climbing rope while GCing? Let's hear some stories! DadONine Quote Link to comment

Couldn't hurt, on some of the more difficult caches (where the terrain gets into the 4-5 range). Example? Search for waypoint name GC3CC9. A couple of friends of mine recently attempted and found that one. Quote Link to comment
