Midlands, UK - looking to have my deceased father's cache's adopted

Hey,

I'm posting from my dad's account. He sadly died on Dec-31. Geocaching was his main source of happiness in his later years, and he accumulated a pretty impressive number of hides - 467 Active &  a further 125 Archived. Would anybody in that area be interesting in adopting his caches (or even some of them)? He came up with the 'FYI Geocaching' concept, so hopefully some people in this community may have spoken with him or know him.

I'm not really sure what the protocol is, but as he spent so much of his time travelling around and looking after his caches, I really hope some of them at least can be passed on to other Geocachers as a small continuation of his spirit

Cheers

Added a map of his stomping grounds

I am sorry for your loss.  Thank you for caring about your dad's caches.

I'm going to move your thread from the "How do I...?" forum to the UK and Ireland Forum, where local geocachers can assist.

As for the process of adopting a cache, see this Help Center article

I had met John a couple of times, sorry to hear this news, my thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Having done many FYI caches, I’d be happy to adopt some one the ones close to me, GC9MDQ7, GCADXYA, GC936XE, GC936WX, GC9MDP9, GC936Z0, I’ll have a look around the map see if there are other ones I might be able to take on.

Hi, really sorry to hear of Johns passing, my thoughts are with you.

I would be very happy to adopt some caches in my area Warwick/leamingon

It is always a pleasure to find his FYI series, I know he cared very much about it and the pleasure it brought to the caching community.

So sorry to hear about John - Had a few conversations with him when the FYI series was starting, as I seem to remember it was only up the road in Fillongley.
Anyhow, I'd love to adopt his caches around Coventry area. - Will try check out and come back with exact GC codes.
