Place a hide in a former "Red Zone"

I am looking to place a hide in an area where a cache used to live; said cache has since been disabled. Am I going to run into any trouble setting this? And/or, any suggestions on how to remove the no-longer relevant "red zone" circle? Thanks!

If the cache is only disabled, your cache will not be published. It is up to the owner of the disabled cache (or a local reviewer) to archive the disabled listing.

Right now, you can create a listing in the hopes of submitting once the disabled cache is archived. I would not suggest placing a container just yet.

It sounds like the cache is temporarily disabled.  You need to wait until the cache is archived, which is permanent.  Archived caches will no longer appear on the planning map, and the area is open to a new cache placement - unless someone else beats you to the punch!

I'd put the cache on your watchlist, and have a cache page ready for submission if and when the old cache is archived.

Why don't you place a Multi with a Virtual Stage on that area, instead?
