myamiphil
I noticed when the unit is logging the time is conituously running. There a key labeled "Stop Navigation" but its greyed out. Is this option not enabled?? I'd like to stop the clock at times, but keep things the way they are... Is this possible? Quote Link to comment
Alphawolf
The clock is set by the signal from the satellites, (which are all synchronized) and can not be stopped, only adjusted for local time off-sets. The "stop navigation" option is to cancel an active "go-to" or route you are currently navigating. "Never take a sunset for granted. Stop what you are doing and enjoy it. myamiphil
Thats what I thought...(at least about the clock) but then it kills the values of the avg speed etc. (e.g. avg speed including the zero speeds when stopped for a while.). Mybe I didn't start it right but if Im collecting data on a route, can't I use the "stop navigation" to pause the collection of data. Put the unit in "standby". Or is this only available when you are retracing a route?? Quote Link to comment
+BignFat
The Stop Nav is gray because you haven't begun to nav yet. Your GPS had found Sats, that good. but have you told it to goto a waypoint yet? When you do...then your navigating, and you'll find that the stop nav will not be grey. Quote Link to comment
