+Clinton Baptiste
Just in case anyone's interested, I popped into Homebase today and they're selling 'Lock & Seal' plastic food containers. Guaranteed to be waterproof and cost just £9.99 for a set of 6. Bought myself two sets Now I can replace all my water-filled caches [This message was edited by 5 Balls & Tammy on November 04, 2003 at 07:55 AM.] Quote Link to comment

+Naefearjustbeer
I have just bought a set and they are being tested in the garden at the moment. They look like they will be up to job. I just hope the locking flaps are robust enough to last the duration AUT PAX AUT BELLUM Quote Link to comment

John . A weeks weather in Caithness at this time of year probally equates to your annual rainfall. So I dont think I will need to wait for a year before I hide a cache in one of these boxes AUT PAX AUT BELLUM Quote Link to comment

You don't watch enough DIY shows. Try sanding it lightly to get a "key", or using an any-surface primer... evilrooster http://www.bookweb.sunpig.com -the email of the species is deadlier than the mail- Quote Link to comment

We use ammo boxes, but these do sound tempting. Actually, we're using fuse canisters at the moment which are a little small, but were 50p each in bulk. Quote Link to comment
+Flackadder
Wierd maybe!! But I think 'Ammo Boxes' add a sense of adventure. Bob.... http://www.bobh.co.uk 'Life, it's a game with one serious bit - geocaching!' Quote Link to comment

Ahhhh, so that's what they are! I got the same ones and I made a not-very-edumacated guess that they were some kind of medicine-bottle container. Omally Member of the GAGB Quote Link to comment
