+Nia Posted November 2, 2002 Posted November 2, 2002 We spend the summer that is April to August inclusive renovating and living in our barn in the Charente area of France. In 2002 this meant no-geocaching for 5 months (I hope you missed us). Next year we hope to change this by developing a geocaching area. We have set one cache and hope to set about 6 more before the end of April 2003. We want to invite anyone visiting France on holiday to consider visiting us for a day of geocaching. There will be at least 6 caches to do and I hope that each visitor would set at least one cache in the area. We can offer food and limited accommodation to anyone wanting to visit. We have space for camping on our land or floor space for people with sleeping bags. Food is usually a bar-b-que in the evening or bread and cheese at lunchtime. The barn has NO Television, Computer or phone line, so we cannot receive e-mails at the barn. We use an Internet café for keeping an eye on geocaching.com. *We have a French mobile phone, but there is a very poor signal at the barn, a text always works but a call has only a 50% success rate. From France call or text 06 24 41 22 25 Please feel free to contact us via e-mail up until April 2003 if interested * Team D+P we have a petty good air-rifle for chasing nocturnal cachers Tech-no notice Quote

Neil There is definetely a 'Motive' and we are even offering to upkeep any caches that are placed, assuming we manage to find them.... It would be great if you (and Hornet) visit next year Tech-no notice Quote
Ben Pid Posted November 2, 2002 Posted November 2, 2002 It certainly sounds like fun yes! I think we should all go there for a geocaching.com holiday! Baggsy got the top bunk!!! Pid Ben Piddington http://www.buckscaching.co.uk Quote
+The Hornet Posted November 3, 2002 Posted November 3, 2002 Yes, the Hornet is very tempted! Knowing Lost in Space's tastes drinkwise you'd better start stocking up on the red wine even now Unfortunately the cost of getting the Transit over the channel is prohibitive even allowing for filling it up with cheap booze. However I'm assured Swedish cars have a big boot! We could even "Cox & Box" with Dan & Pid - we sleep during the night while they're out caching and they sleep during the day while we're out placing "Motiveless Holiday Caches" _________________________________________________________ It is better to regret something you did, rather than to regret something you didn't do.
