+JL_HSTRE
Over a decade ago I was shocked when mid-vacation my Garmin Etrex 30 said it had no caches loaded. In fact, it had a GPX and had been reading it fine for the last couple days. A day or two later, the Etrex just as abruptly found the file and its geocaches again. I thought this was a fluke. I think that GPSr had one similar brain fart a few years later. I now have an Etrex 32. I used the unit just fine yesterday. Today I turned it on and it was asking me to load geocaches. Is there any known cause for this sporadic bug, or is it just an unpredictable fluke? Without having a computer handy to actually reload the GPX files, is there any trick that might make it recognize the current GPX files? Quote Link to comment
+Atlas Cached
This is one reason I always load my data to micro SD cards. Remove, reboot, install, reboot. Quote Link to comment
+GeoTrekker26
I too put my files on a card. The process mentioned by Atlas Cashed has saved a caching trip a couple of times. I actually go the extra step of carrying a duplicate card as insurance. 2 Quote Link to comment
