+Team Red Roo
I have enjoyed Geocaching for over 20 years now, but my greatest enjoyment is going Geocaching with my Grandchildren. One of my Grandchildren has 100 finds and IIRC his email address is the same as mine. I'm trying to set up a Geocaching Account for a second GC but it requires a unused email account - how can I get around that ? Quote Link to comment
+Mausebiber
Just get a free email account and register at Groundspeak https://www.wisestamp.com/blog/free-email-providers/ Edited October 6 by Mausebiber Quote Link to comment

When we first started, everyone in the family had the same email address for their GC account, but now you can't do that. Just create a free email address for the new account. Quote Link to comment
+Team Red Roo
Thanks to both responders for your answers. While I may be able to create a free email account for the grandkids, it just isn't good enough - GC SHOULD TAKE NOTE - I'm not happy doing this! 1 Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
This trick might help if you use gmail, and other email providers might do something similar: https://www.stationx.net/how-to-get-unlimited-gmail-addresses-and-boost-security/ (Semi-random site that came up in a search.) EG, all three of these go to your main inbox: redroo@gmail redroo+kid1@gmail redroo+kid2@gmail Edited October 13 by Viajero Perdido Quote Link to comment

Bottom line is, you can't set up accounts for your grandchildren unless they're 16 years old (or is it 18?). First of all, I don't know a 16 year old who doesn't have an email address, and second of all, your email address NEVER gets exposed unless you expose it, so it's safe. Probably safer than virtually any other similar company, hobby, website, etc. So, assuming both of your grandchildren are over 16, what exactly isn't 'good enough'? You say you're trying to 'get around' the requirement of having an email account - frankly, too bad! 5 Quote Link to comment
