+DieMudpaws Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Dear Geocachers, I wanted to change my user name. The name was not available, so I tried another (that I only wanted to test) and this name was accepted and changed. After that I wanted to take my old user name again, which I had for now 12 years. But now I cannot take this user name anymore. This name is not taken by another geocacher, but I cannot have it back? I do not understand. Please can anyone help me to get back my username? The user name was "Die Mudpaws" - no I had to take "Die_Mudpaws", but I would like to have back "Die Mudpaws". Thank you for helping me! Best regards Die Mudpaws Quote
Keystone Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Since the time you created your original account name 12 years ago, spaces are no longer allowed in usernames. You could write to Geocaching HQ customer service through the Help Center to see whether there's any way to make an exception for you. 1 Quote

If I had known that, I would never have tried to change the name. Quote
