Guest andrewuk
I have just found geocaching. I have however been letterboxing on dartmoor This is very similar and there are over 21,000 to be found. Check out my Dartmoor Letterbox Page http://www.geocities.com/andrew_hibbitt/ I believe it also happens in the new forest, and north Yorkshire moors but I have no information about these. Happy hunting Andrew Quote Link to comment
Guest mooseo
I was trying to remember what it was called (letterboxing, that is). Smithsonian magazine had a neat article on it a couple of years ago (synopsis at: http://www.smithsonianmag.si.edu/smithsonian/issues98/apr98/letterboxing.html). I really like the idea of placing original stamps in a cache (I'm trying to figure out an inexpensive way to put the actual coordinates on the stamp in the field). Rather than a collection of little trinkets, I think that a notebook of such stamps would be a nice collection. Quote Link to comment
Guest cjdoyle
At the Holmes Stamp Company website, you can upload pictures/drawings/diagrams/etc and they'll put it on a stamp for you in a day or two. http://www.holmes.shop4stamps.com/ Quote Link to comment
