Winchester Event Camping Passes

Recommended Posts

As the time is drawing near, quite alot of cachers have expressed an interest in camping and helping out at the event on the 19th July.

For those people we will be issuing passes, one for the tent and one for the car.

Camping is for helpers only.

Camping available Friday 18th from 5 pm until 12 noon Sunday 20th.

Toilets available.

Sorry no caravans.

Dogs allowed.

Fresh water.

BBQ - please bring your own food and drink.

Camping will only be permitted for those with passes.

We will therefore need to know definite numbers, so those requiring passes please post here.

As expressed ages ago, I am there on the saturday and am available as a helper. I'll be trying to get there as early as possible and don't care how late we leave. (there will be two of us)

No trees were harmed during the production of this posting, but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced....

Perhaps someone should update the cache page as it says campng is available and doesn't restrict it to helpers icon_smile.gif

I'm that "someone", and thanks for the prod, I just adjusted the wording!

We'll be there and very happy to help (two adults and two Geokids) in any way we can (geocachig with new cachers, showing them how the site works, anything in fact). We're currently doing a JOGLE (John O'Groates to Land's End) in an old Landy and caching along the way (just come back from Scotland, through Cumbria and into Wales, heading off again today) so we will be in the vicinity icon_biggrin.gif

1 x tent

1 x Land Rover!

3 x GPSr

2 x iPAQ with Memory Map

We can bring along digital maps of the area if that would help too.

Look forward to seeing you all there! icon_smile.gif

Howdy,

We'll no longer be able to camp at all. (or even attend)

I have just found out I'm Duty Manager that Weekend,

& protest as I might, they do pay the mortgage.

Hope everyone has a cracking Weekend.

Cheers,

Gaz.

We take our children everywhere, but they always find their way back home...

Hi! Jayne's managed to get the weekend off work and the in-laws have agreed to babysit David for us, so we can make it to the event after all icon_biggrin.gif

Is it too late to get camping passes? We'd definitely like to camp on Sat night (2 adults, one tent, one car), and Friday night too, if we can both get a half day off work.

Cheers,

Ian

I received my pass and camping permit yesterday and all I need to do now is to remember how to erect my tent!

By the way, the writing on the envelope is very nice, was that Mrs Brambler?

I woke this morning and my boat was not rocking...for one horrid moment I thought I lived in a house!
