GC Messages - Clear History

I am finding my GC messages for some friends is taking time to load and scroll to the latest message.  This is due to a large amount of messages over many years.  I would like to clear the message history from one or more GC friends (per friend, not everyone).  Can someone advise if this is possible, and if not, what can be done about it.  Thanks in advance.

I can not reproduce this issue with my message center. It only shows few messages and does this immediatelly. If I want to see more, I have to scroll up and wait until it loads more messages from the history.

 

Are you sure that all messages are really loaded and scrolled down when you open a long conversation?

I apologise for confusing you.  Yes, the website is tuned to display the last 20-50 messages, and will only load prior messages when you scroll back.  It would be great if the mobile app behaviour was the same. Unfortunately the mobile app will begin by displaying the first ever message for a friend, then set about loading every message after that, and finally auto-scrolling to the bottom.  It is the functionality in the app that is painful, and would be resolved by either a) having a last 50 messages display, or b) having a 'clear history' option.  I thought it might be easier to code this functionality onto the website rather than into the app.
