How do I find caches by county?

I'd like to find a cache in every county of my state, then surrounding states. Is there an easy way to do this, like maybe lists?

Also, I see that many experienced cachers have stats on their about pages that go into great detail and also includes caches by counties, states, etc. How do they do that? I can see the option on my stats page to make everything public, but much of what I'm seeing goes way beyond that (and is very impressive!) How do they do that?

I use the trails map in the app which shows the county outlines. That way I can easily see some options to choose from. We have a lot of challenge caches in my area, and sometimes I need certain cash types in certain areas of the state, so this method works good for me.

If you switch to the OpenStreetMap Default map (website, Browse map, Leaflet side), you can see the names of the counties too.

I'm baffled why Groundspeak didn't add names when they dove into the map code to add county boundaries, given that their map (Trails, or the other name) uses OSM data and names are available.  It seems to be a minimalist map on purpose.

Consider becoming a paying member at project-gc.com, an official API partner that specializes in statistics and data.  I used Project-GC for planning when I completed all of Indiana's counties last May.  Here is a screenshot of your Indiana counties map.  You can click on each county for details, including maps of caches to find there to turn the county "green."  When you're finished, move on to Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, etc.!

Project GC can generate the html to include on your profile page that dynamically provides all those stats.
