Puzzle Cache Solution Checker suggestion

Hi,

 

It might be that this issue has been discussed in some forums earlier, however, I didn't find any threads at least by googling. I just added the Solution Checker to a Adventure Lab Bonus Cache. To reach the cache you need to find the distance and bearing from the bogus to the cache. However, there seems to be some deviations depending on what tool (app) you are using. Therefore the final coordinates might not be accepted by the checker.

 

The checker would be more user friendly if it accepted a small difference and update the final coordinates with the right answer. These deviations might occur if you have to convert coordinates from one system to another which is the case in this bonus. 

 

I might have to remove the checker completely since it creates confusion at the moment. Are there any development in this direction on the road map?

The thread you posted this to is 6 years old, and your comment is more along the lines of a feature suggestion. I therefore split this into its own topic and moved it to the website forum.

I think this forum discussion might answer  some of your questions, particularly the sticks and stones feature. I think that's what it's called.
