+Viajero Perdido
Recently I stumbled across a setting, don't remember where, to get email notifications of Message Center activity. I turned it on. Now I'm getting notifications when I send messages, but not when I receive them. It would be more useful the other way around, no? At the bottom of these emails, "Click here to manage your email preferences." That takes me to a page that isn't the one I mentioned in my first sentence above (I don't think). And there, "Send me Message Center notifications" is unchecked. What? Edited September 4 by Viajero Perdido Quote Link to comment

I believe this is the one that is causing your problem: it's on the actual message center in the gear icon. When I click the forward messages to email box I get an email notification when I send a message to someone. It has the same message as your title. 1 Quote Link to comment
+Max and 99
If you click on the down arrow next next to your name to get your settings, there is another message center setting under email preferences: I've always had this clicked and it doesn't send me a notification when I send a message.
