KML files of outlines of Delorme page areas for challenges

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone knows if downloadable area KML files are available for Delorme page outlines for Delorme challenges? I have a Google My Maps map with county boundaries and other things (see below) and use it to plan my caching trips and to keep track of counties cached in for example. It would be nice to be able to add a layer with the tiles of the page areas for Delorme challenges as well. Currently trying to complete the Missouri county and Delorme challenges and having all the info on one map would be awesome.

Yes, am aware of mygeocachingprofile to see your progress on Delorme challenges, thanks! It isn't very useful though if you want to plan a caching trip and see the pages overlayed on a map.

After I posted here I found what I need. In case anyone else is interested, a huge thank you to AngelMay3 for making KML files of the Delorme pages for each state! They are available here https://sites.google.com/site/rowd0001/delorme-kml-files.

Now I can overlay pages together with my county overlay for planning caching trips:

Related but slightly off topic, I've never had any interest in counties before but this thread made me curious what my county map looks like.  Is there a way to easily see that without creating a new account in a new website?  Whether by US or by state?  I'm in NJ which has 21 counties but if I've found caches in half of them I'd be surprised.  I once had this idea of creating an "all counties in NJ in 24 hours challenge" (after proving one could by completing it myself) but at that point time based challenges were no longer allowed, so I never bothered to drive all over the state.

TIA

County maps are not included in statistics on the website. They are visible under maps on the profile stats page on Project GC though and to see them you would just need to authenticate by logging in with your geocaching.com credentials. I can see that you have found caches in 14 of NJ's 21 counties B)

Oh nice, thank you!  BTW I didn't notice your reply since you didn't quote me, glad I looked at the thread.

Thanks for showing me how to find this information.
