hi

have just discovered this site and am fascinated.

what is it about geocaching that's so addictive?

from what you know is there a close UK community of cach-ers?

and although it seems that anonyminity and discovery seem to be major pulls, have any geocachers you know ever met up?

cheers and I look forward to joining the hunt!

I like it because it gives me chance to put on my pink jumpsuit, get in my helicopter and pretend I'm Anneka Rice for the day icon_smile.gif

A big pull for me is the fact that many caches seem to be in areas of outstanding natural beauty/national parks etc.

I enjoy beautiful scenery, wild mammals and birds. Seems ideal combining this with a fun 'treasure' hunt.

I am going to hide two on Sunday in some very nice Historic places, I have checked out the locations with DEFRA and they are ok to go to as long as we dont wander all over the fells and fields

They have told me that Hill trouble Coordinates are ok upto now But any thing could happen overnight They even sugegested taking a bottle of Disinfectant and a sponge and give the foot ware a good clean up

J's fliud is good for the job.

Happy hunting.

Actually in the Longdenshaw car park on the path out onto the fort there was a disinfectant bath when I was there on August 29th
