Custom Cache Lists

Recommended Posts

Hi. The UK Geocaching Waypoints page at http://www.roblisa.com/geocache/ now has an option to generate files that indicate which caches you have found or lets you just download found or unfound caches.

The list of caches you've found is generated along with all the other files so you may find one or two missing if you have logged it after the last update of the files but it will appear within a few days (unless we go on holiday again icon_smile.gif ).

Hope you find it useful.

Cheers,

Rob.

Tried V4 Mapsource file with my user profile and only caches I have not found and it worked flawlessly.

This will save me a lot of time and effort.

Thanks

Chris

That would probably depend on what you mean by Palmable pages. Do you just want a plain text file that you can paste into a MemoPad document or a .pdb file or a page you can access through a Palm web browser?

If it's a plain text file, send me a sample of what you are after and I'll see what I can do.

Cheers,

Rob.

Ok, there is a page up now at http://www.roblisa.com/geocache/summary.html which filters the geocaching.com cache pages into simplified html suitable for printing and handheld devices. Note that this script is unrelated to the rest of the geocaching pages on the site and as such it is not restricted to UK caches and does not rely on me performing refreshes (with the exception of OS grid references which are extracted from the index pages but are just omitted if not found).

Cheers,

Rob.

Hi. Just a small update. There is now another form on the summary page that lets you get a summary of the caches you haven't found that are near a given cache so you can choose a cache near your house or holiday destination as a base and get all the closest caches in one file.

Cheers,

Rob.

....so in a bored moment I have produced a spreadsheet (well that way it looks like I'm working icon_eek.gif) which allows you to build completley customised indexes from robs CSV files and automates the load process into Plucker.

If you think it might be of use you can download it from: http://www.sheps.clara.net/UKTools.html
