+Omally
Maybe it represents those folks who like to spend the day hopping from one cache to the next... [ducks and runs ] Neutiquam erro. Quote Link to comment
+Lance Ambu
It means "Frog" In gremlin/icon/smilie terms it is akin to penquin and sometimes pig. They are the new breed of rabbit, bear and sometimes kitten. Rabbit means Easter and Duracell Bear means Coca Cola and T&J Kitten means box of chocolates or anything sickeningly cute Penguin means comical yet with an air of superiority. Pig means cute in an ugly, smelly way Frog means cute in a stupid way or Budweiser What does the pattern on the sole of your shoes mean? Lance It's dark and we're wearing sunglasses. +Lance Ambu
Isn't that purpose rather than meaning? Are we looking for the purpose of the frog or its symbolism? Does have a meaning or even need one. Lets just enjoy it for what it is, a disembodied frog Lance It's dark and we're wearing sunglasses. Quote Link to comment
+Lance Ambu
I've just noticed that Jeremy uses it in his posts - maybe he just likes frogs. Jeremy, lackey prime not p Lance It's dark and we're wearing sunglasses. Quote Link to comment

+Lizzzzeeeee
I saw a new cache the other day with a froggie theme but can't remember which one - maybe it's that cache's owner!!!! BTW, is there anyway of simply bookmarking a cache that you might be interested in doing at a later date without adding it to your watch list (and thereby getting all the watch messages). I suppose you could add each cache to favourites but that would be rather cumbersome. Sorry I'm losing my (and the) thread! In fact what am I doing sitting typing into the computer on such a lovely morning - oh yes, waiting for my terribly slow inkjet to print out cache printouts for later today when the boys get back from swimming! I don't know The others do convey a meaning and have a text label telling you what it is. The frog still says frog to me Perhaps it's just a means of drawing attention (how many replies so far?) +The Hungry Caterpillars
But back to the frog .What does it mean? All I have found from an impeccable source(mtn man)is that they eat large blue fly/buzzy things. And after reading this thread again all I have found out is something to do with copyrightlaw.Does this frog have a secret history? When and where did it originate from? In the case of there being no definitive answer forthcoming I will draw my own conclusions. So when Iuse this graemlin only I will have in mind what it means -OOH I do like it Quote Link to comment

Cholo
I'm glad that you Brits are still able to enjoy your frogs. They will probably soon become extinct in the U.S. The way things have been going lately, the U.S. Congress is likely to declare them as "freedom amphibians". Quote Link to comment
+The Hungry Caterpillars
Cholo, you mean to tell me that you do not have the gy Graemlin and cant enjoy your gies.Is this due to some virus or what?Just what is the definition of a freedom amphibian and can you still represent it as a Quote Link to comment

+Daisy&me
I vaguely remember in a Monty Python's book, 'Monty Pytono's Big Red Book' I think (which bye the way was blue) there was a menu for a box of chocolates. They included: Crunchy Frog Lark's vomit Anthrax ripple and others I can't remember. The trouble with the world today is that everyone makes sweeping generalisations. Quote Link to comment
+kennamatic
quote:and others I can't remember. There was also one called ? surprise.
