+Chris n Maria Posted March 2, 2003 Author Posted March 2, 2003 We now have a date and time: This is the cache which you should be able to see once it has been approved. Bear rescues a speciality! London & UK Geocaching Resources: http://www.sheps.clara.net Quote
+The Hornet Posted March 3, 2003 Posted March 3, 2003 Seen the cache page and the 'Hidden' date is 5th April. I have the 6th in my diary - I assume the 6th is still the date? The 5th it is then! - I'll be there. _________________________________________________________ It is better to regret something you did, rather than to regret something you didn't do. +Nia Posted March 3, 2003 Posted March 3, 2003 We hope it is the 6th, as we go to France on the 10th, It will be great to see everyone before we leave, and hopefully firm up some visits. Tech-no notice Quote
+Chris n Maria Posted March 3, 2003 Author Posted March 3, 2003 Sorry if this is inconvenient for anybody but we decided on the Saturday (5th) rather than the Sunday (6th) as we just couldn't find any pubs that wern't packed to the rafters on a Sunday - and we tried a lot ...Hic! Most people in this thread didn't seem to mind a saturday. Bear rescues a speciality! London & UK Geocaching Resources: http://www.sheps.clara.net Quote
+Chris n Maria Posted March 8, 2003 Author Posted March 8, 2003 Just to let everyone know the plan is that there will be a Foxhunt starting from the pub (more details to follow). Catching the fox entitles you to get the details of a special cache in the Forest full of limited edition treasure. For those not wanting to do the fox hunt there will be a few brand new caches within walking distance for you to try. Bear rescues a speciality! +Rocky Balboa Posted March 8, 2003 Posted March 8, 2003 Would love to come along but Will be starting work as usual at 5 that day so its a no go for me again I am thinking about holding a Summer BBQ in Wendover woods in July or April so will hopefully get to meet everyone then if people are interested. Its just a hunt for a lunch box, why be so serious!?! Dan Wilson - www.Buckscaching.co.uk Quote

+paul.blitz Posted March 14, 2003 Posted March 14, 2003 We are hoping to be there: if we come, I would be only too happy to take a couple more along from the Winchester area (I have an MPV with 7 seats, and free diesel!). the number of seats free depends on how much of the family come along! I was thinking about organising an informal picnic in the Winchester area sometime in the next few months.... anyone interested? I was thinking about maybe Sunday lunchtime, **very informal**. One place I was thinking of has easy parking, plenty of space for the kids to run around, with an adjacent playground. Another is even bigger, but no playground. The auxilliary question is: just a picnic, or do we want some caches? Remember, I was thinking "low key"... See you all on Saturday! Paul Noone in their right mind would place a cache THERE.... Quote
MCL Posted March 30, 2003 Posted March 30, 2003 picnic only, if you ask me. We spend a lot of our time doing caches.
