+wigglesworth Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 Forgot to login so reposting. Also posted in th Canada group. We have frequently travelled to the USA and used the "three" pay as you go sim - costs £10 for 30 days. We only use it for data for adventures - plus the geocaching app. Have been informed that the SIM does not support Canada connection. What do other cachers use when visiting Canada? Quote
+spooky_luke Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 I think that your best bet will be to pop into a Three Shop to clarify before you go. I say this because they have recently (26th June 2024) added Canada as one of their Go Roam Around the World Extra destinations, which means it would now be included for existing and new customers depending on their contract type and join dates etc. I don't know how this relates to a PAYG. On my existing (much) older contract, only 71 countries were included in my free 'Feel at Home' list and I would have to pay around £5 for a day for a data passport whilst travelling in Canada as it wasn't one of the included countries. +wigglesworth Posted July 7, 2024 Author Posted July 7, 2024 We visited the shop last Friday 28th June and the staff did not have any update - will check again. The web information from them is confusing to say the least. Quote
+wigglesworth Posted July 7, 2024 Author Posted July 7, 2024 Just telephoned the three helpline and they stated that Canada is not included in the free roaming package. Quote
francalkova Posted January 31 Posted January 31 (edited) I go to Canada quite often (7-8 times a year) and I use this eSIM service for Canada. It works well and is cheap (plans start at $7). Edited February 3 by francalkova Quote
