Popular Post +barefootjeff Posted July 1, 2024 Popular Post Posted July 1, 2024 A post in another thread today brought this to mind again. When I've added corrected coordinates to a mystery, multi or LBH, it'd be great if the planning map showed a red circle around those coordinates. If I've solved the puzzle (and most likely gotten the green light from a checker) or worked my way through a multi or LBH to get the final coordinates, there's no reason that should be kept hidden from me when I'm planning to hide a cache. It gets even worse if I've gone on to find the cache, as then its position on all the website maps goes back to its listed coordinates and, if that find was years ago, I'm unlikely to remember there was a cache there. Sure, there's a possibility my corrected coordinates might be wrong, but that's my own fault and I'm happy to accept the consequence of its red circle being in the wrong place. That's got to be better than the current situation where the caches I've solved remain hidden from me when I put my CO's hat on. 8 1 2 1 Quote
+lee737 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 (edited) +10 The best solution so far for me - use anything other than the actual geocaching website to plan a hide. Ludicrous isn't it. The geocaching website is actually fairly useless for hiders planning a hide. I use my GPSr or Cachly - both of which are full of data, from the above website, but it is presented in a useful way that aids placing a cache. Edited July 8, 2024 by lee737 1 Quote
