Motorway Service Stations/Road Layby's

Just a thought but does anyone know of any caches that have been placed in any service stations or layby's? I do a LOT of driving as part of my job and it would certainly make the day more interesting to find some caches on my travels.

Maybe I could stash a few myself. What do other people think? Would such caches be considered 'too easy'?

Don't know about too easy, but they do sound to me as though they could easily fall prey to accidental discovery - usually at the hands of a burly local authority contractor and a petrol-driven strimmer I'd imagine.

I can think of a few laybys on (for instance) the A31 across the New Forest where anything could lay undisturbed for years if it was 10 yards off the road.

I think it's a good idea. You'd need to say 'Southbound' or 'Westbound only' though!

I've noticed quite a substantial police presence around nearly all the Motorway ones I've visited and you of all people would not want to be questioned by police when caching.... eh Jason? icon_wink.gif
