Guest JasonW
format where you don't have to keep folding and refolding the map because walking a mile means you cover about 2½ inches on the map (nearly a fold width) but you may prefer the extra detail of the Explorer series - my pocket can't take the strain of it though Quote Link to comment

Guest timp
Hi, We use the co-ordinates put into www.streetmap.co.uk or the description to get a rough area (makes planning a route a little more sensible). Then drive to that area and drive around a bit (following the GPS reciever) until we find a suitable place to park up. Get out of the car and wander around a bit following the pointy thingy on the E-Trex. When it seems we are at the location we just sort of rummage around and that's it. For us, getting the exact location from a map would spoil the fun of just muckin-around. :-) Whichever way you go, enjoy.
