help with html for cache needed.

I'm working on our next 2 caches, and cachers will need to download a file from my web page as part of an 'optional puzzle'

 

I know VERY little of html.

I have the file on the site and a link to it from the page.

The problem is that it downloads without giving the user the 'save it or open it option'

 

I'm using the following html:<

a href="test.mp3">Click here to download (Click Save As)

 

can anyone help, and if so assume i know nothing and you will be ok.

Hi Steve,

I think it depends on your browser settings, and the file type, to get the save or open box. However you could change the text to read 'Right click here and chose Save Target as....'

If it's any other file but a web page, you could use "target="_blank""

 

In fact the target could be anything you want!
