+Team Tommy
Another question I'm afraid. Can you please tell us about re-visiting caches. In our area there is a cache that we have already visited. Since our visit someone has placed a Travel Bug in the cache. We were wondering whether we could re-visit the cache to pick up the Travel Bug so we could help it on it's onward journey, or is this bad etiquette? We are very keen to try and keep to any unwritten policies that are accepted and understood by the veteran geocachers! Debbi Quote Link to comment
el10t
I don't think there is a problem revisiting a cache to pick up a travel bug, provided you don't log it as another "found it" on the cache page. Rich mobilis in mobili Quote Link to comment
Team Tate
Just use the 'Post a Note' option. This will still allow you to drop off or collect Travel Bugs. Bob Team Tate Remember - if it's moving, it's not dead... Quote Link to comment
Morseman
quote:Originally posted by Team Tommy:Another question I'm afraid. Can you please tell us about re-visiting caches. People often re-visit caches, and post a 'note' rather than a 'found' report. As well as collecting Travel Bugs, other reasons you might revisit are to replace something, like the camera when the last photo has been taken, or to change the box if the original one gets damaged. Another reason might be after someone reports that they could not find it, and they think it's been lost, but you went back there and, because you have already found it once, you can confirm that it's either still OK or that it has been lost. --... ...-- Morseman Quote Link to comment
+Subarite
Re-visiting a cache can be useful for the cache owner and a bonus from a cacher if there is a TB to be had - no problem.
