Cannot View Archived Caches via Profile data.

Recommended Posts

I was trying to find some of my archived events using the information via my profile.  The only cache status available were All, Enabled Caches, Disabled Caches.  There is no option to include Archived caches.  I set my filter at All, but cannot view past, archived events.  Any help will be appreciated.  I have always been able to do this in the past but not today.

shows you at least your last 20 events. Seems to be some problem going to page two.

I posted yesterday on this issue with found and hidden caches. Groundspeak is looking in to it.

On the official app they will show up.

Are you using Chrome as your browser?

ChriBili,

Thanks for this information as it will solve my immediate issue.  I still can't see any of my archived caches when setting the filters as I mentioned above.  Did you find the same choices for cache status as I did?

Frank

I don't know exactly how you go about this. When I go to my profile and click Geocaches (Yours) I see all my hides, including the only archived one (an event). The page I end up at is https://www.geocaching.com/my/owned.aspx.

When I check your finds 4044 and hides I get 10. Archived missing. Chribli account I checked.

Yes, and I assume if I check your finds or hides archived are also missing. When I check my own finds using the new "search" rather than the old, reliable list I also see 4044 now, that is archived missing. That seems to go on and off, but since that method is persistantly flawed by showing only 1,000 finds, I never use it.

SAME. I am having an awful time trying to find an older cache. When I click on a friend's cache profile it says they have 198 owned caches. I am sure a bunch are archived but when I try to show them I get ONE. That's it! And yet when I look at a different CO (who I think is the CO for what I want to find) their cache page shows a few more and includes only active and disabled. WHAT on earth is going on? The constant changes lately have been (from this user standpoint) mostly for the worse. I keep saying, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

A similar issue: looking at a friend's finds who has over 7,500. They have 7000+ physical finds and almost 500 ALs. But when I look at their find list it has a number in the 4000s! Can 3000+ of their finds SERIOUSLY be archived? I guess maybe but I doubt it and there is literally no way to know. What a mess.

Please can someone official (ie a Lackey) tell us if there will be a fix? You cannot hide archived caches since they are often included in live puzzle caches!!!!!
