Well I'll attempt to put some of that right w/c September 17th - I've got a couple of ideas for placing them in North Wales, as has Emma (BumbleBee) Quote Link to comment
Guest Kimrobin
West Yorkshire will have some soon. got the locations planned, got the boxes, got the pencils and log books, just short of stuff to go in them. Hopefully that will be resolved by the end of the week. Alex. Quote Link to comment

Guest Digmut
Absolutely brilliant fun!! Only got my etrex a couple of days ago and found our first cache today - it was a virgin site!!!!!! It will need an even spread across the UK to achieve critical mass but we'll be doing our bit here in "The Garden of England". Digmut :-) Quote Link to comment

Trouble is the park might actually be quite busy- It's alright for you, there aren't any *people* up North to ask what you're up to. Except maybe that one policeman... Quote Link to comment
Guest JasonW
Ah yes but that encounter was in Scotland and I think that the PC in question was actually quite interested in the pastime.... Quote Link to comment

Guest JasonW
The ones I believe to be inside restricted areas at this stage (based on information from here, geocaching.com and DEFRA): Hill Top Trouble Reivers Revenge (only accessible from the Scottish side) Where's George's Kidney Stone (ditto) Quote Link to comment
Guest Baston
Please excuse this thick Cunuck. But with is the "DEFRA" and why are some of your caches in a resricted area? Thank you and happy cacheing Baston and the Flyingquaker Quote Link to comment
Guest JasonW
DEFRA is the Department for the Environment Food & Rural Affairs - they're the one's that are allegedly stopping the spread of Foot & Mouth Disease (the ovine/bovine/porcine one rather than the one that affects humans). As part of their measures to prevent/contain the spread of the disease they close off large areas of the countryside - some of them are in restricted areas because the restrictions change as the disease spreads (or indeed is eradicated from an area) PS Is it not a "Canuck" ?
