+Spies Like Us Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 OK, I will be nice, since it's been a while since I needed to edit a log. But neither the app nor the website will let me edit an existing log. Clicking "View / Edit Log / Images" only opens a new blank page...nothing more. Has there been a change to how we edit logs while I have been in stasis on the mother ship? What am I doing wrong? Please help! Joe Quote

Nylimb Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 I have the same problem on the website. In my case it's because my computer and browser are old, and a recent gc.com update made it incompatible with older versions of Firefox. To create or edit logs I have to use a borrowed smartphone. The phone is also kind of old, and the geocaching app won't work on it, but using its default browser I can write logs. It's not at all convenient, but at least it works. If you specify what versions of Firefox and Chrome you're using, maybe someone can tell you if that's the problem for you as well. Quote

Editing a log in the app has never been an option, as far as I know - one reason why I prefer to do all my logs on the computer from drafts I make on the phone in the field. (Yes, I do cache with my phone, official app, but log all but trackable drops/retrieves and FTF's from the computer from drafts at the end of the day) I have not had any issues editing logs from the website; I use WIndows 11, and current version of Chrome.
