Trouble creating or editing logs from my MacBook

There was a recent upgrade to the geocaching site and I no longer can make any type of log.  I try to log something, or edit an existing log, and it opens a new window and freezes.  This is very frustrating since I normally make field logs on my phone and then edit the log at home.  I cannot even log TBs.  I tried deleting the cookies in my Safari browser.  Nothing is working.  Can anybody provide some assistance?

I just logged something on the website yesterday with no trouble. (I'm on Chrome, latest version.)

Today I cannot log AT ALL. The page opens to this. The dropdown doesn't work and there is no date. URGENT fix needed!

same solution like with picture upload .. just click something from the menu (bold, etc - as per attached) and you can start writing your log .. and once you are done, just delete the extra symbols :)
