Log trackable that I do not own

A trackable from my wife accompanied me on my trip. Since he was with every cache, I would have liked to log him, because he is not in my inventory that is unfortunately not possible. Is there a way to log anyway?

The only way know would be to Grab the TB so it would show in your inventory.  By "from my wife" do you mean she bought it for you or she is a cacher and let you carry the TB?

Yes - use the "grab from somewhere else" log to get the TB, visit it to the caches, and then if you (physically) give it back to your wife, she can "grab" it back from you.

Not clear (to me), is this trackable "not collectible", or in your wife's collection?  Thanks. 

In her collection, you wouldn't be able to unless she removes it from her collection. 

If "not collectible" or " ...hasn't set their collectible preference", as others said, you'd Grab the Trackable and Drop/Retrieve, or Visit each cache.
