How do I get WAAS/EGNOS signals?

I am using an etrex Venture with software version 2,30.

I have enabled WAAS but still do not get any readings for satellites 33 and 44. What should I do to get the corrected signals so that I can improve the accuracy of my GPS?

This article - DPGS on Garmin Receivers - could be of use. The section 'Loading the Almanac' contains a step-by-step guide which will take you through the necessary preparatory steps.

But why do you want WAAS/EGNOS

 

Not that big difference in accuracy.. maybe you can get 5 meters instead of 7-8..

I can agree that it's not much help having WAAS/EGNOS enabled when you can't find that illusive cache that's been bugging you for days, but it looks nice when my Garmin Rino 120 says: 3D Accuracy 3 meters.
