+Deepdiggingmole
I have just messaged a cacher to discuss puzzle caches and the co-ords format I wrote N51 02.ABC E000 10.DEF in my message. Once it was sent - it changed to N51 [02.ABC](http://02.abc/) E000 10.DEF (bold and highlight to identify what was written, not how I wrote it) and no matter how I changed this (using the degree symbol etc) that is what occurred - it is weird that it only happened for the northings part and not the eastings - what is is about 02.ABC that it would think this is a hyperlink ? 1 1 Quote Link to comment
+SN67
I've been wondering that too. I've never noticed the issue from my own (premium) account, but I am part of a group who have published some caches under a joint account. That account is only basic, and it's sometimes a real pain to send coordinates (or part of them, as in the example above) through the messagecenter, as you can't send links from a basic account! Well ... I didn't try to I think there is a workaround by making an extra space before or after the dot, but I'm not sure. It's been a while since I last had to deal with it. Quote Link to comment

Yeah, there are bugs in the Message Center's handling of links (or anything that vaguely looks like a link). Quote Link to comment
+Deepdiggingmole
So reading the other posts it would seem we would have to mess around with the formatting of co-ords in order for them to be sent without any daft error messages So I would have to send N51 02.ABC E000 10.DEF as N51 02. ABC E000 10. DEF which is fine in this instance - however if it was a proper set of co-ords -- N51 02.123 E000 10.456 then I would have to send it as N51 02. 123 E000 10. 456 which may only confuse the other end when they copy and paste and get an error message their end !!! You would have thought a site that deals heavily in co-ordinates would have been able to sort out ensuring co-ordinates are recognised as a format and left alone !!! 3 Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
Groundspeak could fix this so easily by just disabling the auto-linkification. Would anybody miss that? 6 Quote Link to comment
