+OGuyDave Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Perhaps the logging process could employ a little AI to solve a problem I've been guilty of at least once: I write about how great a cache is, indicate that I'm giving it a favorite point, but accidentally neglect to punch the "Add favorite point" radio button. I propose that when the "Submit log" button is pushed, code checks the cacher's log for the words "fave" and/or "favorite", and prompts the cacher if he neglected to punch the radio button. "You mentioned that this cache might be a favorite of yours. Would you like to add a favorite?" Also, prompt the user if there's a high percentage of favorite points "This cache has been favorited by x% of previous premium cachers. Would you consider adding a favorite?" Obviously applies to Premium Cachers only. Thanks for your consideration. -- OGuyDave Quote

"You mentioned that this cache might be a favorite of yours. Would you like to add a favorite?" As long as it includes the English spelling "favourite" that's used elsewhere in the world outside the USA. It should probably also look for the string "FP" because often times people use that abbreviation in their logs. 58 minutes ago, OGuyDave said: Also, prompt the user if there's a high percentage of favorite points "This cache has been favorited by x% of previous premium cachers.
