+granskog123 Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 (edited) One of my caches has the “owner attention requested” attribute, despite no one logging that. Its a little bit annoying because it shows up every time I want to hide a new geocache. Why does it show up? Here’s the cache: https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC7RXAJ_krypens-motell Edited May 18, 2023 by granskog123 Quote
+arisoft Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 (edited) If you check your emailed log entries you may find "Owner attention requested" log that is removed later. Removing the log does not affect the attribute. Only way to remove the attribute is owner maintenance log. And if you want to keep your statictics straight, you can also delete this log without consequences. Edited May 18, 2023 by arisoft Quote

+GerandKat Posted May 19, 2023 Posted May 19, 2023 There was a "owner attention requested" or at that time "Needs maintenance" log on June 16th 2019 which was deleted. The original log from that cacher doesn't show any evidence that anything was wrong, so we assume, that it was made in error and deleted by that cacher. 2 Quote

I'm confused what this is supposed to mean. Unless the NM was in error (such as on the wrong cache listing), deleting the log, even after maintenance had been performed and OM logged, is dishonest. It's like deleting a DNF. Quote

I think arisoft was suggesting deleting the OM log, since it was only needed to clear the Needs Maintenance attribute that got set by the erroneously-logged NM that the logger deleted after realising their error.
