Create List

I think that "Lists" are currently not fit for purpose. They are very unstable and it's pot luck whether you can do anything with them at all (create, edit, add... anything!)  An error message is the  most usual result of trying to do anything with a list.

I just tried on both Chrome and Firefox to  search for caches using some criteria, then select a few from the resulting search and add them to an existing list, also click the "Add x to list" button to add them all to the list, also created a new list in this dialog. No problems

I cannot seem to recreate your issue. Also a chrome user.

Can you tell us more about your system? What operating system and version number? What version of Chrome are you using? Do you have any plugins or settings that might be interfering with the website?

I can’t understand why I can’t add caches to a list from this page:

You can set up a search that mimics your PQ parameters and bulk add the results to a list.

Just out of curiosity, if you're making a pocket query, why do you also need a list of the results?

That depends on what your PQ parameters are. You can't search for caches with "negative" attributes (such as Takes more than 1 hour) nor can you exclude certain attributes from a search. One of the great missed opportunities, I think, was to integrate all the search functionality so that it's the same parameters (and perhaps even using the same search engine under the hood) regardless of whether you're creating a PQ, creating a list or even just filtering caches on the map.

I can copy that pq result on the app in 5 seconds. You just happen to have a small one but even if it was 50 it can be copied in seconds on the app.

This issue is still being investigated by our engineering team. We apologize for any inconvenience but thank you for your patience in the meantime.

Are you investigating the issues with Lists? The silence on those Topics is just as deafening.

Our engineering team is investigating all of the issues documented in this thread (apart from adding caches to a List from the browse map & adding 1,000 caches to a List -- these were already fixed).

We don't have enough information to determine whether or not there's an issue with Chrome; we cannot reproduce the issue as you describe it. Can you please provide additional details about your browser version and operating system? Or perhaps more detailed repro steps? Are you running any plugins or scripts?

It might make sense to contact us directly to troubleshoot as you seem to be the only one encountering this particular issue: contact@geocaching.com
