Publishing an EarthCache - Other Languages

I am going to be traveling abroad in a couple of months and am considering placing an EarthCache during my travels. As an English speaker traveling to a majority Spanish-speaking country (the Dominican Republic), can I write the EarthCache write-up in English? Does Geocaching HQ translate cache pages to the local language?

Thank you so much!

People who have mastered the cultural technique of reading can do this

Agree 100%.   Is this the only person who will be able to "mastered the cultural technique of reading"?  I think, by just reading, you might find interesting places, but will you find a spot to place an EC?  From my experience, most, if not all places worth an EC are already taken.

p.s. If you're going to take the time to put an earthcache together, please don't trust Google translate to supply the Spanish version, it will not cut it.

Absolutely! I totally agree with this—Google Translate has plenty of inaccuracies when it comes to sentence structure/grammar. If I wound up deciding to place an EarthCache, I would get it translated either by a local cacher or a human translator.

Reading about interesting locations is certainly a part of it. I've found that if I research the local geology, I can find noteworthy sites to think about placing an EC. Also, sometimes just stumbling upon a cool place with geological importance sparks a sense of creativity and willingness to create an EC (ie: https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9W5KXhttps://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9YPMV, and https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCA038C).
