+Trout Creek Bandits
I'm located just east of the original geocache! So a popular hot spot for caching. I've actually been caching since 2006 and I've never experienced my current situation. I placed a cache on Monday. Submitted it for review. And now it's been almost 6 days of waiting to be reviewed! I've placed well over a hundred geocaches and have never experienced this delay. I feel like I've slipped through the cracks. I have also posted several notes toward the volunteer reviewer asking to get approval. What do I do now to get the green light for my cache? 2 2 Quote Link to comment
Rock Chalk
The cache was submitted for review late in the day on January 16, so it's been 4 days as of now. Community volunteer reviewers aim to begin review within 7 days of submission. Sometimes it takes less than an hour (like your last submission) , other times it can take closer to the 7 days. If the cache hasn't been reviewed after 7 days, which is very unlikely, then you can contact HQ. 2 Quote Link to comment

Keystone
Believe it or not, Reviewers are allowed to go on vacation (especially vacations involving geocaching). That was the case last week for one of the Oregon Reviewers. In such cases, we make arrangements with other team members to provide backup coverage. Understandably, that extra workload for the backup Reviewer can result in delays. This is one of the reasons why the service goal is to provide an initial review within 7 days. When someone's Reviewer is not on vacation, has no family or work emergencies, and is feeling well, it's quite common to see new cache submissions reviewed on a same-day or next-day basis. Then, when there is a four day delay, it seems out of the ordinary. @Trout Creek Bandits, I see that your Reviewer finished their journey home from abroad and published your cache this morning. It's already been found twice! Thanks for hiding a cache. 2 1 Quote Link to comment

Please note, doing this may actually bump your cache to the bottom of the list, depending on your individual Reviewer's workflow preferences. 5 Quote Link to comment
