Gill & Tony
I'm trying to solve a puzzle cache, so I'm not going to put the actual values here. One part of the puzzle involves converting various coordinate formats to the more usual N12 34.567 E123 45.678 format. The example shown below has the same pattern of letters and numbers, but the actual values are different from the puzzle. So, can anyone advise what a coordinate formal which looks like d37tdv7th8g is called and, where I might find a converter? Thanks Tony Edited January 14, 2023 by Gill & Tony Quote Link to comment
Max and 99
To me it kind of resembles Maidenhead format but doesn't quite match. Never heard of it before but it came up in a Google search. Quote Link to comment
Gill & Tony
Unfortunately, one of the other coordinates is in Maidenhead format, so it can't be that. Maidenhead is two letters, two numbers, two letters Quote Link to comment
barefootjeff
Maybe geohash (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geohash)? 2 Quote Link to comment
barefootjeff
There's a more general Wikipedia page on coordinate formats here. Quote Link to comment
